End of Year Recital 2021

What a meaningful way to close the year. Our 2021 End of Year Recital brought students together to share the music they had been shaping throughout the year - a celebration of progress, perseverance, and the joy of making music together. Each performance reflected not only musical growth, but also courage, focus, and the support students showed one another along the way.

Farewell

This recital also marked a very special farewell. After 14 years in the studio, Grace graduated at the end of this year. Where do I even begin? From her earliest lessons to her final performances, Grace has been an incredibly precious part of this studio, and her presence will be deeply missed.

Our time together was filled with music, laughter, tears, and countless meaningful moments. The handmade cards, the shared conversations, and the steady journey we walked side by side are memories I will always treasure. Grace leaves behind a lasting imprint - one shaped by kindness, sincerity, and a deep connection to music.

Grace’s achievements include:

  • 2019 NZCT Chamber Music Contest Central Regional Finalist (as 3.1 Miles Trio)

  • 2019 NZCT Chamber Music Contest Wellington District Finalist (as 3.1 Miles Trio)

Saying goodbye is never easy. I will miss you, just as I miss all those who have passed through the studio and left a piece of themselves here. You know who you are. Grace, thank you for 14 beautiful years of music and memories, and all the very best as you begin your next chapter beyond the studio.
