Czerny’s Attorneys Shine at NZCT Chamber Music Contest 2023 National Final
The 2023 National Finals of the NZCT Chamber Music Contest was truly an extraordinary experience. Nearly 1,200 young musicians formed 320 ensembles, each bringing their own energy, artistry, and dedication to the stage at the NZCT Chamber Music Contest 2023 National Final at Christchurch The Piano.
Our ensemble, Czerny’s Attorneys, was thrilled to be among the top 8 finalists, performing alongside some of the finest young chamber musicians in the country. Over the course of our time in Christchurch, it wasn’t just the music that made the weekend memorable - it was the shared moments off stage as well. We laughed, explored the city, watched movies, practiced yoga, indulged in ice cream, and even shared a midnight toast with bubble tea. These small moments of joy and camaraderie became just as unforgettable as the performances themselves.
When it came time to perform, the girls brought focus, artistry, and heart to every note. Their efforts were recognized when they were awarded third place in the National Final, a remarkable achievement and a reflection of their talent, perseverance, and teamwork.
Beyond the results, what stood out most was the growth, connection, and spirit of all the young musicians present. The friendships forged, the lessons learned, and the experiences shared will endure far beyond the competition itself.
