It was wonderful to work with our young musicians throughout the 2024 NZCT Chamber Music Contest season. Across rehearsals and performances, students showed focus, curiosity, and a genuine sense of collaboration, supporting one another while developing their musical voices.

Making a remarkable debut as piano 6 hands ensemble, this trio showcased confidence, expressive musicality, and a poise beyond their years. Their award was a well-deserved recognition of their dedication and talent.

As we wrap up 2024, I’m excited for what’s ahead in 2025 - new ensembles, fresh repertoire, and the joy that comes from making chamber music together.
