Youth Music Festival 2024

The IRMT Youth Music Festival brought together many young musicians from across Wellington for a weekend of inspiring performances. Each student presented a carefully prepared recital programme, and it was wonderful to see their individual style, care, and musical expression.

I am very proud of the students who represented the studio. They showed focus, preparation, and commitment throughout the festival.

Solo

• Tiffany Zhang (Grade 1–2) - Gold + Gold Badge

• Evelyn Jiang (Grade 3–4) - Gold
  Best Performance of a New Zealand Work (selected from 52 entries)

• Mietta Lin (Grade 3–4) - Gold

• Miles Lin (Grade 5–6) - First Prize — Class 4 (Student of Jian Liu)

• Amelia Liu (Grade 7–8) - Very Highly Commended

Ensemble
